Wikipedia, in English, describes Schwarze Szene as the German term for dark culture. It is defined as:

"...a mixture of thematically related subcultures including the goth and dark wave subculture, the dark neoclassical/dark ambient scene, parts of the post-industrial scene (with the genres electro-industrial, EBM, aggrotech and dark electro) parts of neofolk and the early gothic metal scene."

In other languages, the dark culture is called cultura obscura in Portuguese, escena oscura in Spanish, and scena Dark or scena gotica in Italian. In English, it is also called the dark alternative scene.

What is Schwarz Szene—what are you doing?
I, Mar Qaroll, I looked for a network of mature, adult-oriented communities and found that most were open to minors or even owned by minors. They weren't places for a person like me, and I furthermore desired a place where we adults could come together and network in our scene!
This was overall inspired by my lifelong endeavor, Candelabrem.
